Donations

Donations help to keep our programs operating and make sessions more affordable to our clients. Sponsorships of individual students or contributions to the general scholarship fund help us to offer the benefit of horses to those who might not otherwise be able to participate.

Besides financial contributions, we can also use donations of gift cards, concessions for our annual Fun Show and Open House, and equipment. Currently, we are seeking donation of a round pen, which would provide a second arena in which to conduct sessions and a more suitable venue for groundwork exercises.

Volunteering

Volunteers make our programs possible! Having someone to lead the horse or walk alongside helps many of our riders to stay safe and supported during their riding time. Volunteers also help keep lessons running smoothly by helping with tacking up in preparation for a lesson or grooming at the end of a lesson. During our annual Fun Show and our summer camp, a large number of volunteers with a wide variety of skills is essential.

Volunteering opportunities exist both on the weekends and in the late afternoons and evenings during the week. As we begin to pursue offering our services to schools, we will also be facing a need for volunteers on weekday mornings and afternoons.

We are looking for responsible, caring helpers, who enjoy spending time with people and horses alike. While previous horse experience is helpful, it is not necessary for many of our volunteer opportunities. In order to volunteer, you must sign a liability release and participate in a volunteer training session. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
